Accounts Payable Clerk

 The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for all duties associated with processing timely and accurate vendor payments and account maintenance. The Accounts Payable clerk is responsible for various accounting functions in this fast-paced office and works closely with our Controller and department heads.

Job Responsibilities

  • Post all payables for assigned locations.
  • Receive and verify expense reports; prepare checks.
  • Prepare accounts payable checks in a timely manner
  • Research and answer payables and vendor inquiries for assigned locations.
  • Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers
  • Analyze invoices & expense reports; record entries
  • Ensure invoices are posted to proper general ledger accounts in accordance with company accounting policies.
  • Reconcile existing accounts.
  • Keep information confidential.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

High School or General Education Degree (GED); and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Dealership accounting experience beneficial.
