SHOP ASSISTANT

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Shop Assistant to support our technicians and ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support Technicians:

   • Assist technicians with routine tasks, including tool preparation, parts handling, and equipment setup.
   • Help troubleshoot basic issues and perform minor repairs under supervision.
   • Maintain inventory of tools and supplies, notifying management of low stock levels.

2. Cleaning and Organization:

   • Ensure the shop area is clean and organized at all times, including sweeping, mopping, and decluttering workspaces.
   • Dispose of waste materials following safety and environmental regulations.
   • Maintain cleanliness of tools and equipment after use.

3. Safety Compliance:

   • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
   • Report any unsafe conditions or practices to management promptly.

4. Customer Interaction:

   • Assist with customer inquiries and direct them to the appropriate technician or department.
   • Help prepare work orders and ensure proper documentation of services rendered.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a shop or technical environment is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of technical tools and equipment is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to [50] lbs).
• Stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
