Accounts Payable Clerk

The Accounts Payable Clerk position is responsible for all duties associated with the collection and processing of the information necessary to process timely and accurate vendor payments and for the maintenance of vendor accounts for up to 4 locations. Person will be responsible for various accounting functions in this fast-paced office and work closely with our Office Manager and department heads to ensure the production of accurate and timely accounting tasks.

Job Responsibilities

  • Posting of all payables for 4 stores.
  • Reimburses employees in a timely manner by receiving and verifying expense reports; preparing checks.
  • Prepare accounts payable checks in a timely manner
  • Research and answer all payables and vendor inquiries.
  • Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries
  • Verify all invoices are posted to proper general ledger accounts in accordance with company accounting policies.
  • Reconcile existing accounts.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

 Education and/or Experience

High School or General Education Degree (GED); and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Dealership accounting experience beneficial.
